Ruzizi Tented Lodge was incredibly designed to perfectly blend in with its phenomenal natural surroundings that make it possible for guests to connect with Mother Nature. Being an environmentally friendly Lodge, the Lodge’s operations have little effect on Nature. Right from the time of construction, natural vegetation and trees were left undisturbed where possible and with time, several natural elements have slowly been added into the Lodge’s structures. Additionally, lots of the Lodge’s decorations as well as furniture were incredibly and beautiful hand-crafted by local artisans and cooperatives living around/near Akagera National Park.

The eco-friendly Tented Lodge is powered by solar energy and takes pride in being environmentally conscious.  Thanks to the fact that it was uniquely designed, built, and completely operated by African Parks, a great percentage of the profits make it possible to support the conservation initiatives of the National Park.
