Pride of Lions in Akagera National Park

Day 1: Kigali – Akagera National Park.

After an early breakfast, you will be shuttled to Magashi Camp at 07h30. Arrive and proceed to Magashi Camp, assisted in check in and have a lunch. Evening is at leisure. Dinner and overnight stay.

MAGASHI CAMP (All inclusive – Lunch, Dinner, Bed and breakfast, a selection of drinks, laundry and brochure camp activities).

Day 2: Full day at Magashi Camp plus activities.

On this day you will enjoy the park’s activities organized by Magashi Camp. Game drives at the Magashi Peninsular and a boat cruise.

MAGASHI CAMP (All inclusive – Lunch, Dinner, Bed and breakfast, a selection of drinks, laundry and brochure camp activities).

Day 3: Leave Magashi Camp Akagera-Kigali City Tour.

Today after your breakfast, you will be shuttled back to Kigali to meet our driver who will then take for a city tour. Choose to have Lunch first and then start with the Kigali Genocide Memorial Center and Inema arts center.  (The overall tour will take about two and a half hours). Highlight; Perhaps the city’s best known landmark, and with good reason, is the very insightful and moving Kigali Genocide Memorial standing amid beautiful rose gardens and fountains

The memorial sets out the history leading up to the genocide in Rwanda and also explains other genocides around the world. It includes poignant displays of victims’ photographs and belongings, bringing the realities of the atrocities to life. While it might seem an unusual tourist attraction and can be upsetting, it does help to put into context how and why the genocide happened and to better appreciate just how far the country has moved on together in the intervening years. It also plays a vital role in educating Rwanda’s new and future generations about the genocide.

Note: For guest that wish compliment Akagera with Volcanoes National Park, after returning from Magashi by shuttle, your guide will then transfer you to Musanze (2.5hrs) for preparations of your Gorilla Safari tour in Rwanda or track golden monkey
